Mike Graham has sent me a brief synopsis of his life and career which I would like to share with you.
I stayed with the RAF all my working life and moved from life as an AWM on a Shackleton squadron to aircrew on Shackletons and Nimrods. I served on various squadrons at St Mawgan, Kinloss, Changi and Luqa and did some desk tours in London and Edinburgh, eventually retiring in 2001 to live in Auckland, New Zealand. I married Patsy (an RAF daughter) in 1964 and we have two sons who moved from the RAF and are currently serving on 5 Squadron, RNZAF and based in Auckland flying P3K Orions (Glen is a Squadron Leader and Stephen is a Flight Sergeant – family business!).
I am impressed by your website and delighted to see the ‘then and now’ photos as well as the other ephemera. It does bring back great memories of good people and interesting times. I’ll keep an eye on the website and see if I can contribute some more.
We wish Mike and his family all the best for the future.
